Ocean Resort in Malaysia
The sea might have washed away the island sands, but it didn’t wash away this astonishing village. The Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort is a water village. This sand bar was long ago part of Kapalai Reviews, but time and tides have taken their toll on it, leaving this place all the more remarkable.
Kapalai ocean Hotel is on part of what is called the Ligitan Reefs, an extensive stretch that borders the deep and vast Celebes Seas.
All the structures are built on water in this peaceful and unique sanctuary. There are fifty-one individual chalets, each about nine meters wide. These twin-sharing valets come with extra-hot baths and a sundeck-veranda. From your veranda you can sit and watch turtles swimming by, or the squids at their mischief. Even the endless attacks of halfbeaks and needlefish into schools of anchovies and silversides are fascinating and fun to see.
This Luxury resort caters to divers and non-divers alike. Avid snorkellers can usually join the dive boats as they go out to the numerous dive sites around Kapalai, Mabul, Siamil and Sipadan.
